About Thomas Anders

Thomas Anders (born Bernd Weidung, March 1 1963 in Münstermaifeld, Germany) is a German pop vocalist, songwriter and producer best known as the lead singer of 1980s Euro-disco duo Modern Talking. Huge hits include “You’re My Heart, You’re My Soul,” “Cheri, Cheri Lady,” “Brother Louie.” Solo, he’s released German-language albums like *Pures Leben* (2017), *Ewig mit Dir* (2018), and in late 2024 returned in duet with Florian Silbereisen on *Nochmal*, their album that hit No. 1 in Germany. With Modern Talking and solo combined he’s sold over 120 million records globally, earned numerous gold & platinum awards, and is especially celebrated in Eastern Europe.
